Paraprofessionals: Tools for Your Toolkit (Part 1)

The Results Driven Accountability (RDA) Team at Black Hills Special Services Cooperative offers a Paraprofessional’s Toolkit series consisting of 8 flexible professional learning modules. Topics covered in the Toolkit include: Roles & Responsibilities, Understanding Disabilities, Managing Behaviors, Data Collection, Collaborating with Teachers, Accommodations & Modifications, Empowering Students to Be Independent, and Academic Instructional Strategies. This session will provide an introduction to the Toolkit, show the various ways in which the Toolkit can be utilized, and share feedback from districts who have had their paraprofessionals participate in these modules.
