In this 45-minute session, participants will learn how to apply focusing questions and 5 Talk Moves for elementary math instruction and the distinction between situations that warrant support from an adult and others that do not. Participants will walk away with ready-to-use number sense activities along with useful teaching strategies, including opportunities to fit in a few extra minutes of math talk that matters during transitions throughout the school day.
